What we promise every family.

Three promises that will not change

• No ads. Larlebee will never show advertising, and nobody can pay to reach your family.
• We never sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.
• Your family owns its data. Your family's records belong to your family. We look after them for you; they are not ours.

Larlebee is paid for by families who choose Family Plus, never by selling attention or information about you.

Only your family sees your family

• Your family’s tree, messages, photos and stories are seen only by the relatives your family has let in.
• Each person can choose whether their phone number and address are seen by the whole family or only by their closest relatives.
• Anyone can hide themselves from specific relatives.
• When two families are joined by marriage, they can read each other's heritage. Photos and conversations stay with each family.
• Guests you invite to a memorial, wedding or naming see that one event and its guest book. They see no one else in your family and nothing of your tree.

Children and elders

• Children don't need an email address or a password. A parent or guardian sets up the child's phone with a code.
• Elders' phones can be set up the same way by a close relative, with a simpler screen and only the important notifications.

Mistakes can be put right

• Every change to a person is recorded with who made it, and can be undone.
• When relatives remember things differently, both versions are kept side by side. Nothing is quietly overwritten.
• Your family's data is backed up every day.

Bee suggests; your family decides

• Bee answers only from what your family has recorded, and shows where each answer came from.
• When Bee reads a document, such as a funeral programme, it suggests people and relationships. Nothing goes on the tree until someone in the family confirms it.
• Your family can switch Bee off.

Money stays honest

• Family contributions are records only. No money moves through Larlebee.
• Payments are confirmed by a treasurer, and every step is written to a record that can't be quietly changed.
• Relatives are warned when the bank details for a fund have recently changed.
• Givers can choose to keep their own payment anonymous from the wider family.

You are in control of your account

• You can report a message or a person, and block someone, from anywhere in Larlebee. The Larlebee team reviews reports.
• You can delete your account from your profile at any time.
