A private place for your whole family.
Build the family tree together, keep the elders’ stories in their own voices, share photos, and plan the next gathering. It works on any phone, in any country, and it’s free to start.
No ads. Your family’s information is never sold.
Green: married into the family
How it starts
- 1Add the people you know
You, your parents and your grandparents. It takes about a minute.
- 2Send each relative their own link
Straight into WhatsApp, a text or an email. It opens on their own name and place in the tree.
- 3Everyone adds what they know
Their children, the dates, the stories and the photos. The tree grows from every side.
What families do with it
-
One tree for the whole family
Every branch the way your family really is: second marriages, adoption, step-family, and the aunt who raised everyone. When relatives remember a date differently, both versions are kept.
-
The elders’ stories, in their own voices
Ready questions to ask, recorded as they talk, credited to them, before the stories are lost.
-
Photos, and who is in them
Scan the old prints before they fade, and ask the elders who is in each one.
-
Gatherings
Reunions, weddings, naming ceremonies and memorials: who is coming, how many, and from where.
-
Family contributions
Contributions, dues and appeals recorded openly and confirmed by a treasurer, so everyone can see what was given. No money passes through Larlebee.
-
Family messages
Chats, voice notes and announcements beside the tree, not lost in a busy group.
-
Questions about your family, answered from its own records
Ask Bee, the family helper, who someone was or where a branch came from. It answers only from what your family has recorded, and says where each answer came from.
Three promises
- No ads. Not now and not later. Nobody pays to reach your family.
- We never sell your family’s information. Not to advertisers, not to anyone.
- Your family owns its records. We look after them for you, and you can take them with you.
What families ask first
Who can see our family?
Only the relatives your family lets in. Guests you invite to an event see that event and nothing else. Anyone can hide themselves from specific relatives.
Does everyone need a smartphone?
Each relative who joins needs a phone with a web browser. Children and elders don’t need an email address or a password: a relative sets their phone up for them with a code.
Do we need to download an app?
No. Larlebee works in the browser on any phone and can be added to the home screen. Apps for Android and iPhone are on the way.
What if relatives disagree about a date or a name?
Both versions are kept side by side, with who said each. Nothing is overwritten, and changes can be undone.
How much does it cost?
Larlebee is free to start, and everything a family needs is in the free plan. Family Plus adds more questions to Bee and more room for photos. See pricing.
Start with you, your parents and your grandparents.
It takes about a minute. Then send each relative their own link.
